During the summer it is not unusual for an office to spend thousands of pounds on electricity to power the air-conditioning system in order to remove the heat which the sun has delivered through the windows.
Here are some estimates of proposed savings if you are to use solar films to reduce the consumption of electricity in the office. This example is based on a car showroom, single glazed and electricity cost at £0.085 pr kWh with 150 m2 south facing and 50m2 West facing windows. The payback on this example was 3.43 years.
